In the United States of America the work of Stauros continues under the
banner of "Stauros Ministries". It is facilitated by a board of
directors who oversee the work throughout all of the USA, with each State
being able to register as a "local branch" associated with the
agency.
The work centres around Baltimore, Maryland and West Virginia, where volunteers carry out the work of Stauros in a very effective way. John Burghauser and his wife Peggy, from Baltimore, are the first full time workers in North America. Micah Suits and his wife Martha are currently working effectively in West Virginia as volunteers. Tom Eakins travels out to the US about three or four times per year to
help establish the work there and to support the endeavours of those "on
the ground" to reach out to people with the message of hope in Christ.
